Jennifer Miner, MA, MEd - David Miner

Jennifer Miner is a freelance luxury and travel writer with an extensive background in psychology and counseling, holding two Masters degrees from Columbia University. Born in New York, Jennifer moved from Manhattan to Southern California in 2003. Besides frequent coast-to-coast traveling, she takes work and leisure trips overseas. Reviews of fine dining abroad has grown into a specialty. Recent trips include destinations such as Hawaii, Scotland, England, Paris, and Italy. Her favorite local destinations are Palm Springs, Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara. Although, it's a big state! Jennifer hasn't been everywhere yet, and can be convinced otherwise.

Traveling often with her two school age children has increased Jennifer's interest in luxury family travel, and sustainable travel. She is one-third of The Vacation Gals bloggers, written from the perspectives of four professional travel writers. The Vacation Gals won the Gold, Top Independent Travel Blog, from the North American Travel Journalists Association. The Vacation Gals have been HybridMom's "Go-to Gals for Vacation Information." Jennifer Miner also contributes to Fodors, Uptake, and AffordableTours. She has been a guest on several radio talk shows, including stations in Santa Barbara CA and Chicago, Illinois. Her posts have been picked up by CNN, Fox Business, Reuters, and the Chicago Sun Times and Palm Beach Post websites. Most recently, she is one of the four founding members and owners of Best Family Travel Advice, a question-and-answer growing database that is a resource for family travel planners. Her newest venture, Los Angeles Online Travel, was named one of the "11 Best New Travel Blogs of 2011" by MSNBC's Chris Elliott.
